The “BoxBeat” is a toy prototype that transforms your desk surface into a beat making device. Simply tap a beat onto the surface and through a collection of contact microphones on the bottom of the box, it picks up the vibrations and triggers sound samples played through its onboard speakers. Pretty simple interaction that reminds us a bit of the “Duper/Looper” project by Ryota Kuwakubo.
