Letterpress Printing With Dice

Craft & Design

I’ve had a long-held fascination with letterpress printing (which I finally got to try when I was in Portland a year ago) and I especially love seeing alternative items used to make impressions on the press. Sean at MAKE points us to these prints from Etsy seller, Stukenborg, are made entirely out of dice laid out in painstaking configurations to create intricate and stunning patterns. The dice are then rolled with ink and printed in the same way you would print with traditional type. I love that the view of the dice laid out on the press is as gorgeous a sight as the prints which are made from them.
