Maker Camp: DIY Fashion

Today on Maker Camp at 11am PDT, we dive deeper into Art and Design week with a day on maker fashion. And we’ve got two premier maker fashionistas as our guides.makercamp_400

Brit Morin will show us how to make cool DIY fashion accessories. Brit has been called “Silicon Valley’s Martha Stewart” because she occupies the intersection of DIY and tech. Her company Brit+Co is a top stop on the web for fashion and DIY ideas. Brit also serves as tech correspondent for Katie Couric’s talk show Katie and is a DIY and lifestyle contributor to the Today show.

We’ll also hang out with Jesse Genet. Jesse founded the very cool Lumi Inks. Lumi Inks is a DIY alternative to screen printing that works on cotton, linen, silk, rayon, canvas, and other fibers. What’s cool about it Lumi Inks is you can transfer a photograph to fabric and it won’t fade.
