Guitar is Hand-Carved Homage to Giger’s Alien

More Giger alien love in the lead-up to Prometheus. Check out this awesome hand-carved guitar body, created by Gig Goldstein.

This detailed carving job took between 40 to 50 hours to complete. According to the artist, the most difficult part of the entire process is the overall design and ensuring it flows throughout the entire canvas, being the guitar in this case. He also looks to tell a story. This one is obviously based on the art of H.R. Giger and looks to tell the story of the life cycle of the alien.

I especially love the facehugger beneath the pickups and the egg pod nobs.

Carved Alien Guitar that would make Giger Proud
