If anyone has any doubts about the future of littleBits snap-together circuits, their impressive showing at Maker Faire and their recent collaboration with Korg will set them straight.

The latter news is super cool — they’re selling a $159 Synth Kit that allows you top snap together electronic instruments using specialized littleBits elements that are available only as part of this kit.

littleBits hs introduced a couple of cool projects that can be created with the kit. The first is the keytar pictured in the video above. The other one is a DJ-style “Synth Spin” that looks super fun to spin.

Check out Matt Richardson’s interview with littleBits’ Ayah Bdeir about the Synth Kit at Engadget Expand this past weekend.
