Clayton writes – “A number of years ago Jason Sanford crafted functional guitars and and a couple drum-kits from scrap metal. Once created, he decided to start a band using these unweildy/heavy instruments. The band, Neptune, is Boston based and hasn’t gotten the attention they deserve. Their music is magically dissonent the source of which is their rough playing style combined with their scratch made instruments. They started with a basic set of guitars/bass, a circular ring of rusty truss covered in broken bits of metal and saw blades for banging on, and a second drum kit made of barrels and containers and broken symbols… over time they’ve gotten into building electronics and have integrated some really smart looking industrial class synthesizer gear into their lineup.”Link video/sounds & instruments.
