Book illustrations become greater than the sum of their parts in these overwhelming installation images by artist Andrea Mastrovito. After cutting over one thousand images of the natural world out of books, Mastrovito collages together a surreal world from the plethora of printed imagery. It’s amazing to see what all the images that we might normally see when flipping through a few books during a leisurely visit to the library, would look like together in one comprehensive viewing.
