On a cozy Saturday afternoon in December 2008 2006, I poured myself a glass of wine, and sat down to make something. I didn’t know what I wanted to make exactly, I was just feeling creative. I had watercolor paper and some other supplies. Over the course of that afternoon, well into the evening – and the bottle of wine – I ended up with a collection of cards, which I then sent out to a random cross-section of my friends. I’m posting some images here from that day, in the hopes that you’ll be inspired to make some homemade holiday cards this year. Here are the materials I used:

  • Watercolor paper
  • Plain & patterned origami paper
  • Crayons
  • Set of tube watercolors & brushes
  • Black Sharpie
  • Silver paint pen
  • Glue & glitter
