Paper Titanic Derby Hat

My pal Christine from Delachic has officially made the most wonderful and ridiculous hat that I’ve ever seen. Designed for a charity event that also happened to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, she whipped up this fabulous Titanic derby hat the night before using manila folders and foam sheets.

Last Friday marked the 100th anniversary of the Titanic. It was also the day of a work fundraiser where I volunteered. It’s usually a big to-do where there’s a fake horse race, similar to the Kentucky Derby. Therefore, there were derby hats!!

And, as if it the giant ship and classy birdcage veil weren’t enough, the whole thing actually lights up!
Pretty fantastic, right?
