Craft & Design Paper Crafts

Kan Yang Li (aka Kyle) made this papercraft Arduino robot that responds to a truck-shaped remote control. It’s called Dragonaut, and after you use a key to start him up, his arms raise and lower to proclaim “awesome!”

“Dragonaut is a cheerful robot who shows up when the earth is in danger, when our hearts are in need of love. It interacts with commender’s truck using a light beam that is not at all visible to human eyes. When there is a cheer need to be made, commender will send out a SOS signal from his truck to Dragonaut. Then Dragonaut will rise his arms and light up a cheerful pattern.”

It’s his final project for the Making Wireless Toys class at Parsons, which I had a chance to visit. More to come from this class of innovative hardware hackers and toy designers. – Link.
