I am descended from 5,000 generations of tool-using primates. Also, I went to college and stuff. I am a long-time contributor to MAKE magazine and makezine.com. My work has also appeared in ReadyMade, c't – Magazin für Computertechnik, and The Wall Street Journal.
I have a little box in the top drawer of my workbench that I think of as a kind of miniature trophy room. Every time I successfully remove a tamper-resistant, “security,” or other PITA fastener, I toss it in the box. Last week it occurred to me that this might be a fun habit to share with the rest of the web. To that end, and with the gracious assistance of Flickr user Tom Magliery, I present the Tamper ‘proof’ screws and fasteners pool.
