When it comes to creativity and personality, there’s never a dull moment at World Maker Faire New York! Here’s what caught my eye this weekend:
Makers young and old were encouraged to add their own colorful sketches to the chalkboard tables in the Cre8time booth.
Per usual, the Bust Craftacular bustled with artisans, crafters, and handmade goodness for all!
I absolutely loved these giant potholder rug looms from Young Maker Ellie White!
Creativity was packed into every corner of the New York Hall of Science. Case in point: I found this fun wall display behind one of the main staircases.
Just in case you were feeling underwhelmed by your outfit, the awesome folks at Bushwick Print Lab provided some on-site silkscreened upgrades!
44 Daughters celebrated diversity with colorful and unique handmade dolls.
Purina ONE provided a welcome cat toy-making haven for the kitty parents of Maker Faire. (And, given the crowds of people that constantly filled the booth, there were a lot of us out there!)
If you showed up at Maker Faire with the desire to learn yarn crafts, spinning, or embroidery, the NeedleArts Zone had your back.
No DIY day would be complete without a stop at Swap-o-Rama-Rama for quick fabric-related remaking, upcycling, and refashioning!
Pretty much all things LEGO and Doctor Who are sure to catch my eye, so it’s no surprise that the LEGO TARDIS that made actual TARDIS sounds in the I LUG NY booth had my heart beating just a little bit faster.
Of course, Maker Faire wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of CRAFT/MAKE love, right? (That’s me meeting Laura for the first time in real life!)
Were you at Maker Faire over the weekend? What was the coolest thing that you saw?
