When it comes to potlucks and parties, I’m often the friend who brings the dessert, so I have a collection of cupcake and cake carriers at the ready. But, alas, those containers aren’t all that amazing at keeping pies neat and upright, especially if I’m riding the subway. That’s why this smart, washable pie carrier tote immediately caught my eye!
The biggest problem I experience with my usual dessert transport options is that they’re made to hold rectangular items, so round pie tins often move around, flip, or get jostled in transit. This is definitely not ideal, especially for pies of the messy fruit variety. So, I love how this brilliant little pie carrier tote tutorial from Ex-Scapes naturally tightens around the pie plate when you pull on the top handles, keeping the pie inside snugly in place and horizontal. (Of course, you’ll probably also want to put a lid or plastic wrap on your pie tin to protect the top of more delicate treats.)
I’ve always been a sucker for practical, item-specific containers, so a pretty fabric pie carrier is definitely right up my alley!
