Spring Makes: Crocheted Carrots

With spring in the not too distant future and Easter coming up, now’s a great time to hook up some pretty crocheted carrots!

I’m absolutely delighted by this project—the multi-colored carrots remind me of my summer CSA share from a local New York farm! If you’re feeling inspired too, you can find the pattern from Scottland-based designer Lara from Messyla right here.

If you’re planning to crochet these carrots for kids—which is a fantastic idea—keep in mind that they’re lovely life-sized vegetables, not minis. To give you an idea of the scale, the photo above shows the carrots with both maker and cat.
