Embroidery artist, Iviva Olenick, of Were I So Besotted, shared her recap of the Connective Thread fiber art show at Sweet Lorraine Gallery in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The work of one of the artists she mentioned really caught my attention. Rebecca Ringquist creates gorgeous pieces combining hand embroidery and freehand machine embroidery and found stitched linens. I love her style and the rich, textural feel of her work.

As I explored Rebecca’s web site, I was excited to see that she also includes a section of pictures called “Studio Views” where she shares pictures of her creative space. Since we’ve been highlighting craft spaces in our Make Space For Crafting series, I thought you’d be as interested in seeing Rebecca’s studio space as you would be in seeing her work. Enjoy!
