The History of Zippers

I still remember learning how to put in a zipper on the first skirt I ever made from a pattern. I might have had a little more patience if I’d read The Secret Sexy Life of Zippers, a great post from the Worn Through blog! It’s an extremely entertaining romp through the history of the zipper, including some fascinating images (ranging from one of the first zippers, which would make a better necklace than a zipper, through to the Duke of Windsor and winding up with Madonna) and an awesome Busby Berkeley video of a giant zipper made up of dancing ladies! Hop on over and you’ll never look at a zipper in quite the same way.
