Craft & Design

Kyle Durrie has a pretty awesome dream. From her website:
“Two of my favorite things in the world are printing and road trips. But these two things kept getting in the way of one another in my life; they seemed mutually exclusive. I wanted to figure out a way to do both things at the same time.”

Kyle converted a 1982 Chevy step van into a fully functioning letterpress shop, complete with two presses and lots of type drawers. And she’s just embarked from Portland, OR on a nine-month trip across the U.S. She’ll visit schools and community groups along the way, teaching workshops, doing demos and “generally spreading the good word about printing the old fashioned way.”
