The Adventures of Tintin, a Belgian comic strip that was published from 1929 until 1976, follows the story of Tintin, a Belgian reporter, and his fox terrier, Snowy (‘Milou’ in French). It is hugely popular. The Dalai Lama even awarded the main character, Tintin, with a Light of Truth award!
I think this painted Tintin desk, by South African artist and poet James Jersey de Knoop, is a really nice tribute.
