Turn Your Quilt Into A Coat

So far, winter here in North America has been a real humdinger! So, if you’re still hiding indoors for lack of proper cold weather apparel, then get out from under that quilt and turn it into a stylish coat!

All you need is quilted fabric, blanket binding, and some sewing tape to put your own coat together with a sewing machine. The pattern for the coat is by wearables designer Lara Grant, and it’s so simple that she describes is as “a rectangle of cozy quilted fabric, wrapped around the body,” which she goes on to call, “a blanket with sleeves.”

So go ahead and get sewing and go outside!
