During WWII, knitting was a nationwide movement of support, as seen in the above poster. Now over 65 years later, the National WWII Museum is starting a new “Knit Your Bit” campaign to honor WWII veterans by knitting them scarves to keep them warm this winter. You can download the free scarf pattern from the site and send your finished scarf to the museum in New Orleans. [ via ] Link.
