Warm Woolies Charity Knitting

I just finished reading this lovely post about Warm Woolies over at Craft Nectar. Called “knitting small things with great love,” Weeks talks about how she wanted to contribute something warm and concrete to orphanages like the one she adopted her daughter from. Warm Woolies sends toasty items knit by volunteers to children in Russia, Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia, as well as tribal reservations here in the US. I’m continually impressed with how generous the crafting community is, especially considering how much time these projects can take. Anyway, check out the Warm Woolies guidelines for more info on how to contribute. They have free patterns and tips for beginners!
