Marty McGuire has been hard at work teaching his Makerbot to take automatic time-lapse videos as it prints parts. To achieve this, he started by hacking a digital camera using CHDK, then wiring it up so that the MakerBot can cause it to take a picture. He’s still working on a tutorial to document the process, but the first results look great!
