Resumes are typical in that they are a detailed description of past jobs and skills printed out on plain, white stationary. There may even be a CV to go with it, however one talented artist decided to add a bit of flash to his resume that guaranteed it wouldn’t go unnoticed.
Imgur user Mr. Deep Immersion was looking to get a job at Wizards of the Coast (a fantasy/sci-fi game publisher) and decided that sending a traditional resume would be lackluster to say the least. Having worked at Walt Disney Imagineering, he decided to build a themed resume in the fashion of magical stone tablets that, when broken open, reveal his wax-sealed resume within.
He began his build by 3D printing the tablets, one side with text telling a story and the other with a glyph depicting a powerful new ally that brings excitement and prosperity to all. They were then primed and sanded down to a smooth finish, after which they were used as molds for casting them in breakaway plastic.
The plastic was actually used with a filler to give it a solid granite look, after which the trim and relief were painted a gold color to add to the fantasy effect.
The actual resume was created using raw handmade parchment and printed out using an old-world type font, which was then carefully folded, sealed with a wax stamp, and then sealed inside the tablets. Mr. Deep Immersion then built an old-style museum crate and filled it with a straw packing material to send the tablets directly to the CEO of Wizards of the Coast in hopes of a job.

Surprisingly, after all the work to create his one of a kind resume, Immersion didn’t get the job, however the CEO loved his presentation and decided to pass along his impressive resume to other companies in the gaming industry.
