OnShape is a new CAD tool that is likely to make a serious impact within the Maker community by offering professional level tools to Makers for free.

The OnShape team has created their tool as a web app, making OnShape a cross platform tool working on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and soon Android.

We caught up with OnShape CEO Jon Hirschtick, to talk about their motivation for offering a free Maker license, as well as some of their plans moving forward. OnShape is currently in Beta, but you can sign up now to get early access.
