Update: The movie just went live on Netflix and can be found here.

Starting today, you’ll be able to watch Print the Legend on Netflix.

The film documents the rise of two of the premier desktop 3D printing companies, MakerBot and Formlabs. It’s a raw and real look at the challenges of startup success, as each company’s growth tests both business acumen and friendship alike, while introducing unexpected challenges at almost every corner.

Produced by the team behind King of Kong and Freakonomics, the documentary debuted at SXSW this past March, winning a special jury prize. Its positive reception at the festival immediately earned it a distribution deal with the streaming video service. After a few months to update and fine-tune the film, the movie made its New York debut during MakerCon last week; the producers, directors, and two of the stars also sat down for a Q&A panel at Maker Faire this past weekend.
