Workshop Weekend, Call for Makers/Teachers

After every Maker Faire, there’s always a general cry for more, MORE! How do we continue the hands-on, inspired spirit of the Faires beyond the actual events? After this year’s Maker Faire Bay Area, a follow-up Workshop Weekend was held, in various locations around the Bay. The idea was to take the enthusiasm of the Faire and port it into a more focused two-day learning event.

The Workshop Weekend folks are back, with another planned weekend of making, Nov 5th and 6th, 2011. This time, instead of it being in far-flung locations, everything will be under one roof, Tech Liminal, in Oakland.

Right now, event organizers are looking for workshop teachers, makers who can run classes. If you’re interested, see their Teach a Workshop form. And sign up for their e-list to be informed when event registration starts.
