Eyebeam fellow Kaho Abe is leading an interesting class on physical controllers:

Register now for a new 6-part class led by Eyebeam Fellow Kaho Abe for artists, designers and hobbyists. During each class we will look beyond traditional gaming controllers and learn to utilize the Arduino, Processing, and simple low-tech switches and sensors to create custom physical interfaces to enhance the user experience. Each class is $40, or you can sign-up for all six for the price of five at $200.
