Live in or near Baltimore? Enjoy hacking hardware or software? Want to compete for some cool prizes? Then you might want to check out the Baltimore Hackathon, an all-weekend building challenge that is going on next weekend (and MAKE is sponsoring!). Check out their website for more details, and eventbrite site to sign up. Here’s what they have to say about the event:
During the first Baltimore Hackathon, teams and individuals will compete to build a hardware or software project from idea to prototype. The goals of the event are to meet other technologists, have fun, and build new things. Opening ceremonies begin on Friday, 11/19/10 at 6 pm. The event takes place at Beehive Baltimore inside the Can Company Building at 2400 Boston St, Baltimore, Maryland.
Full details are still being planned, but the basics are this: after the opening ceremonies on 11/19/10 you can spend the weekend working in whatever space you choose but we strongly encourage you to spend as much time as you can either at the Beehive.
