DIY Chipotle Chile Powder

Rosemarybeetle decided to make his own chipotle chile powder the other day, and he documented the process on his blog Making Weird Stuff, so you can try it yourself. It’s pretty simple: dry the chilies, smoke them, and then grind them into a fine powder. Andrew explains how the project got set in motion:

The thought had been rolling round the brain for ages. And perchance, one day as I was passing a market grocer, conveniently he charmed me into buying a big bag of glossy red chilli beauties, with his rakish grocery ways!

That grocer sounds like a charming fellow.
