How-To: Heart-Shaped Garden Patch

Gardening Home

Elka at CasaSugar shows you how to add a little love around the outside of your home by adding a heart-shaped garden patch. She picked up the heart-shaped frame at the flea market and was immediately inspired.
Elka writes:

I used Isotoma, or Blue Star Creeper, for the ground cover in the heart, and in the middle I added a few antique pink and dark purple violas. All of these plants work really well for shady areas, which is definitely the situation in the area in the front of our home, close to the mailbox. I added some shredded cedar to the exterior to keep the look tidy.
