If, like Paola Navone, you have guests on the way and no table to serve them at–why not get crafty and sew one together? The folks at Apartment Therapy LA came across this photo of Navone’s makeshift board-and-cord table and did some reverse engineering to figure out how she stitched it together. Since this is probably not a sturdy enough table to keep around 24-7, I think this could be a fun experiment to do on a smaller scale for a garden or patio area, too.
