Maker Shed Elves Burn Midnight Oil

As you might image, this is a busy time for MAKE, especially for the folks directly involved in the Maker Shed and order fulfillment in our warehouse. This morning, MAKE General Manager Sherry Huss dropped by the warehouse with doughnuts for the crew and to see how things were going. Maker Shed Operations Manager Rob Bullington gave her a lesson in gift wrapping. The stamped burlap sacks and laser-cut wooden tags we’re using this year look so great. If you buy gifts from the Shed, consider having them gift wrapped. Details can be found here.

Also be sure to check out our MAKE Blinky Robot tree ornaments. They’re a larger version of the badge we use to teach soldering at Maker Faire. They’re a fun way to learn basic soldering and to add some nerdy bling to your Christmas tree. Perfect stocking stuffers. And they’re only six bucks.

If you’re stuck on what to get some of the builders, tinkerers, and high-tech hobbyists in your life, be sure to check out our Shed gift guides page. And if you’re planning on getting anybody a 3D printer for Christmas, you better hurry. You’ll need to order it ASAP to have it shipped on time. Consult our comparison chart for holiday delivery dates.

Our heartfelt thanks to Rob Bullington, Michael Nathan Riley, Phil Muelrath, Walter Briggs, (Kevin, Jay, Kedric, Brandon) and everyone else working hard in the ‘house to make Christmas happen for us. And to Rob DeMartin, our tireless business manager, Heather Cochran and Michael Castor in the Maker Shed, and all the rest of the Maker Shed and MAKE teams. The sprint to the holidays is always intense, but our team members are always real champs about it. Forget the North Pole, the holiday magic is happening in Sebastopol, Calif.
