From the Crafty Chica, everyone’s favorite glitter queen:
30 of Phoenix’s hottest indie crafters join forces to present a rock-n-roll style, multi-culti arts and craft fair on Saturday, December 13th, at The Phoenix Duck and Decanter. Artists including Crafty Chica, Lolita Arte and more will come together to not only sell their handmade wares, but also to offer demonstrations, give freebies, and educate the public on the benefits of crafting. Organized by Kathy Cano-Murillo (The Crafty Chica) and Lolita Arte, the goal of the show is to offer cool, hip, handmade wares to holiday shoppers. Guests will see everything from the classy to the downright kitschy. Artwork includes skull-trimmed shawls, glittered hair accessories, plush puppets, stenciled neckties, Mexican folk art shrines, recycled art, oversized crosses, wrapped wired jewelry, knitted wearables, beaded vests, pop art paintings, lucha libre piggy banks, and more. Phoenix Indie Craftorama is inspired by other craft events across the country such as Chicago and Brooklyn’s Renegade Craft Fair, Atlanta’s Indie Craft Experience, and Stitch Austin.
I was at the last Indie Craftorama and it was a blast! I can’t go this time, but I’ll be sending my love along!
