Arwen and I had a great time this past Saturday at the SF Craft Mafia’s Mafia Made Holiday Trunk Show over at Craft Gym and Leland Tea Company. It was fun to hang out and peruse all the cool craft goods and talk craft throughout the day.

Jamie Chan, Director of the SFCM and owner of Maryjane’s Attic gave us this recap:

SFCM’s Mafia Made 2006 was a delightful success last Saturday at San Francisco’s Craft Gym and Leland Tea Company. Our inaugural event highlighted all eight SFCM members and ten very talented crafters from the greater Bay Area. We were visited by enthusiastic customers, many attendees coming to San Francisco exclusively for this event. Free goodie bags were filled with promotional samples from indie businesses across the county and were given out at the opening. SFCM members gave free craft workshops, along with food and drink to all customers. CRAFT magazine and our other sponsors provided generous support to make our first event memorable for both the Mafia Made vendors and the greater Bay Area crafty community. SFCM plans to host more frequent trunk shows in the coming new year to provide a source of quality handmade items for San Francisco’s indie shopper community.
