CRAFT: DIY Wedding

Last night I worked until dark with a team of women creating a flower arch for Leandra’s wedding. While I can’t spoil the surprise and post early photos of the final results, I thought I would share some shots of the materials and the process.

The structure of the arch are boughs of bamboo, and the flowers themselves are set into floral foam and then wired to the bamboo. The materials themselves were grown in a nearby garden, and picked fresh yesterday. I’ve added a few more shots of the flowers and setting to my flickr page, and will have a full recap of the wedding next week!
