April and Paul share with us the details of their beautiful DIY wedding from last fall.
Paul writes:
We made about half of them [paper flowers] completely by hand and the other half we took a shortcut and bought the pre-cut flowers at Michael’s. April and I spent a lot of quality time gluing them together and arranging them (as did our family). Weeks before the wedding I was spending Sundays watching football in my Ravens jersey with a glue gun and scissors in both hands!
At the end of the day we created a wedding that was really unique and our own. It was a huge hit and a lot of fun, the big day and the months leading up to it were unforgettable. It was a great way for us to have the huge wedding we wanted at a price we could afford.

Paper flower centerpieces.
Paul printed cocktail napkins using a Gocco machine with song lyrics to be conversation starters among the guests. He picked songs from The Zombies, Magnetic Fields, Stevie Wonder, and the Beach Boys that made him think of his bride.

Paul designed the invites in Illustrator and Photoshop, and had a printing company that he used for work to do the printing. He also designed the center strip for the photo booth.
The seating numbers and names were displayed on a tree.

They gave boring white envelopes a spruce up with stamps and ink.
