In a special message this morning, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan sent special thanks to everyone who worked on and attended Maker Camp this year, for the great work being done to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education. He spoke about the inspiration and energy of the Maker Movement, and how it has spread to include libraries, scout troops, and many other community outlets. And he challenged campers to take the spirit of making with them as they return to school. “You can keep on making,” he said, “you are the inventors of the future.”
