Note that there is no English-language instruction manual. I just had a quick look at the German one. The radio covers shortwave, 3.5 to 12 MHz, strong AM signals only, so in North America you’d probably mostly hear Radio Havana. The TRF input stage is a 6J1 (=? 6AK5) triode. The detector is a transistor, and there is another transistor that is (I think) some kind of AVC. The audio output is an LM386 IC. Quite a mixture of technologies and eras!

The tube number (6J1) puzzles me. It looks like an American tube number but isn’t; the tube has a 6-volt filament but a lot more than 1 electrode connection! 6AK5 is its American designation and it has an European one starting with E. Is this perchance a Soviet tube number?

I have the Radio Ace version of this, it comes with 2 coils, AM and shortwave. The key is a good waterpipe ground, and a good long antenna wire. I love the warm rich mellow sound of a tube radio. It can even make Dennis Miller’s voice and whacky analogy references sound good. Who knew?

I think the reason for the high-quality sound is not the tube. It is the wide bandwidth. This is not a superheterodyne or even a regenerative radio. It uses only one tuned circuit, has very little selectivity, and responds only to strong signals. But on those strong signals it picks up exactly what the station is sending out. Back before FM radio was common, hi-fi enthusiasts used to use very primitive AM tuners to listen to local stations; it gave better sound.

The trouble with wide bandwidth is that it can’t reject adjacent channels. Your local station needs to be a lot stronger than the ones on the frequencies adjacent to it.

This is really a good idea for everybody, which search a combination of an old one and a new technology with theirs tube radio. Unfortunately, it is real in such a way as the user tom writes, there is apparently no English-speaking instruction manual, I have nothing found. I don´t have with it a problem, because I am German. But to my Brazilian friends would help this very much.

When I first saw the title to this posting I thought it was referring to a ‘cardboard tube’ radio kit, like the one described here
I see now it’s a cardboard ‘Tube Radio’ kit but I still think a ‘cardboard tube’ radio kit would be great too!

You have to give a tube radio at least 20 to 30
minutes just to warm up and then you decide what frequency you want to be on
and load the plate and tune them up. They also apparently believe
that their customers who like a particular song they hear on the radio,
are likely to purchase that song, which could add to downloads from i – Tunes.

These channels offer a variety of genres for the user.

You have to give a tube radio at least 20 to 30 minutes just
to warm up and then you decide what frequency you want
to be on and load the plate and tune them up. And once you
have your own project that you want to promote, you must
have considered the radio as one of the best alternatives to introduce your music to the crowds.

Another radio commercial production tip to chew on is to make sure the audio
quality is excellent on any spot your produce.

There are generally numerous brands that provide pan sets at costs which
are appropriate to the size and style of your coffer. After the ice is finished, dinners that can
still be delicious:Camp cooking will be fun and joy for you if you act on all the advice which I have
written and you will know that camp cooking is not that hard so best of luck.
That would be a bad time to experiment with the unknown, whether
it is an untried recipe or ingredient.
