Houston, we have a Maker Faire!
You cant really have a Maker Faire in Houston without rockets right? Luckily you don’t have to worry about that! The Tripoli Houston Rocket Club will be in attendance with some impressive items to show off. They’ll have some of their large models set up so that you can come up and look at them as well as check out some of the advanced electronics they use to track all the data of their launches.
On the topic of model rockets at the Faire:
We believe these are the largest rockets to be shown at a Maker Faire, anywhere, ever.
The Tripoli Houston Rocket Club is a fairly diverse group of people, launching rockets of a variety of form factors and power ranges. Some are collecting specific data, some are launching just for fun. Some of them have been tested to go super sonic speeds and up to 10,000 feet!
If you want to catch a glimpse of some of the really cool rockets that will be there, you’ll have to attend the Houston Mini Maker Faire, this Saturday, November 1 at the Strafford Centre.
