Congratulations to the following winners from our recent Crafty Chica Challenge: Love Shrine. You can see all the entries in the Crafty Chica Challenge Flickr Group. Thanks so much to everyone who entered!
Note from Kathy, The Crafty Chica:
I am blown away by all the wonderful entries! To me, love shrines are very personal. There is no right or wrong way to create one because they come from our heart. No love shrine is better than another. Therefore, I drew the winners names in a blind drawing! I feel everyone who made a love shrine (whether for the contest or not) is a winner for sending out that happy vibe into the world. I hope after seeing all these beautiful art pieces, you will be inspired to create you own version!

This is my ” Love Shrine “. The photograph is very special to me, so I just had to use it. Not only is it a happy moment between my hunny and I but also my first ever craft sale event. A beautiful day! This picture was taken on the 6th Street Bridge, Day of the Dead Festival. In the back are beautifully hand crafted paper mache sculptures.
I put a lot of hours and detail into my love shrine. I am so happy with the end result. I created my ” Love Shrine ” using a wood box, cardboard, acrylic paints, glitter, decoupaged imagery, fibers, rhinestones and other small findings.
If you look at my shrine in the right light or angle, the two white doves look like they are actually flying.
