I was inspired to make a doghouse, but I needed a spin on the idea. I spent most of the summer traveling the U.S. (my reason for not posting more often recently), and across the country there are many old and abandoned buildings. And being that it is “back to school” time, I decided to build on the idea of the old one-room schoolhouse. Seeing these buildings reminded me of the many “old barn wood” cutoffs I have in my shop; many of my client projects include the use of old recovered barn wood. This particular wood I am using has old tar on one side, a perfect fit for the roof of the house. The hardware store didn’t sell bells, so I decided to make one. The video for the bell is on my channel, as seen below. Please enjoy!
