Don’t sell your crafty projects short! The Huffington Post recently reported that a dress made from 20,000 loom bands was sold on eBay for nearly $300,000 by a woman in Wales. Single mother Helen Wright had the idea to make a dress entirely from loom bands while helping her 12 year old daughter with a loom band project. She then suggested the idea to her out-of-work friend Katherine Burnand, who spent 40 hours creating the dress, before Wright listed it on eBay for about $85. Bidders on eBay eventually drove the auction price up to its incredible conclusion.
