Explore the Art of Pysanky at Maker Faire Austin

Austin Maker, Kristy Anderson-Ewing of craftastica, will be demonstrating the art of pysanky at Maker Faire. Kristy’s pictures of her work with this Ukranian technique of using wax resist to create intricate designs on eggs that are dyed are absolutely stunning. She’ll have an interactive booth where visitors can learn simple techniques and tips to take the art in their own direction. After a quick browse through Kristy’s blog and Flickr set, I’m convinced this is one demonstration I cannot miss at Maker Faire. Enjoy!
