Food Stuffs
We are planning a fantastic new exhibition at Cafe Kino, a collectively run cafe celebrating yummy food and artistic spirit. On the 6th May we will hold ‘Food Stuffs’ a exhibition of plush food, to coincide with the Cafe’s first Birthday. We are looking for makers of all varieties of plush food stuffs – felt cakes, knitted burgers, crocheted fruit, vintage fabric dinners, everything and anything with a fake food theme. We are planning to cover the walls with a menu of cute foodie goodness.
Food Stuffs is being curated by Amy Spencer, author of brand new craft book The Crafter Culture Handbook (fifty fantastic projects from your favourite crafters and commentary on craft culture) and DIY: The Rise of Lo-Fi Culture.
If you are interested in contributing to the exhibition, we would love to hear from you. You will need to be able to pay for the shipping for your contribution to the UK and hopefully all the works will be for sale (if your item does sell you will receive the profits soon after.) The deadline for receipt of all contributions is 1st May.
