Maker Faire is obviously fun for everyone, but Girl Scouts will have a few opportunities to get even more out of the weekend family-friendly event that celebrates the DIY mindset. They can work towards all kinds of Try-Its, badges and more, and they can attend the Faire with discounted tickets. ($5 per girl, $10 per Safety-Wise adult) They’ll also be able to purchase a participation patch at the event. I was my daughter’s Brownie leader for a year, and I can tell you, Maker Faire would have ranked way, way up in the girls’ memories as the most fun meet/excursion ever. For more information, Girl Scout leaders can check the full-color ad in the Fall/Winter Possibilities catalog.
