Handmade Nation Opening Sequence

I was really excited when Faythe Levine blogged about filming the opening sequence for her film Handmade Nation–and now that the actual sequence is complete and up on YouTube, I’m beside myself! It’s a super impressive piece of stop-motion fun that has me so excited to see the film next year.

In other news, the Handmade Nation book is on shelves NOW! Run, don’t walk to your local bookstore to nab a copy. It is meant as a companion piece to the film, but stands on it’s own as a wonderful cross-section of the indie craft world. (The pic above was taken by the book’s illustrator, Kate Bingaman-Burt–see more preview pix here.)
