Happy Mother’s Day, Crafters!

I hope you’re enjoying the day, whether you are a Mom, or you’re celebrating your own Mom, or both. I thought I’d share this photo of my Mom, from 1965. She’s wearing a suit she made in her college tailoring class – an Evan Picone design for Vogue patterns. (Oh, those amazing giant covered buttons!)
My Mom (other people call her Pam Harris) is extremely crafty. When my brother and I were kids, she sewed our school clothes and Halloween costumes, and made quilts for our beds and curtains for our windows. She made dollhouse furniture and Barbie clothes, and she baked the most wonderful treats. I’m a crafter today because of her influence.
These days, Mom’s a craft blogger. And you know how she’s spending Mother’s Day? She’s bringing me some pre-made dinners to help me save time while I settle into my new role here at CRAFT.
Give all the Moms you know a big hug today! I know I’ll be doing the same.
