Inspirational Maker Videos


When I posted these videos of classical Japanese metal artist Ford Hallam, it struck a nerve in a lot of our readers. I got email, we got enthusiastic comments, and lots of people said they passed it on to other sites, to friends, and across their social networks. The consensus was: “This is one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever seen.” It reminded me of another amazing video I posted here years ago which also fired up readers’ imaginations, Claude Paillard’s “Making of a Triode” video:

So, this got me thinking about other such videos, either ones we might have posted here on MAKE, or from across on the interwebs, that fill you with deep maker wonder, awe, and that unbearable itch to get out your tools and start making something. Please share your links in the comments below. I’d like to maybe start a page of such inspirational videos.
