MAKE is sticking with MAKE, not switching to BUY

This is a follow up: On April 1, 2006 we announced that we, MAKE Magazine, were switching our format to BUY Magazine – The next volume was to be filled with wonderful things you can buy and directives on things to do, like buy more. There was extensive coverage on the world wide web.

Sadly, it seems BUY.com had already launched a magazine called… BUY magazine. Nada, is crushed. We think the concept has a good case with prior art, patents and intellectual property, but for now – it looks like we’re going to stick with MAKE and continue to celebrate your right to bend, hack and tweak technology as you see fit. For those of you who wanted to subscribe because you simply want to buy things, please visit BUY Magazine – Link.

What will the next generation of Make: look like? We’re inviting you to shape the future by investing in Make:. By becoming an investor, you help decide what’s next. The future of Make: is in your hands. Learn More.
