Maker Faire Atlanta – From Orlando

Maker Faire Atlanta day was an absolute blast

The crew from Maker Faire Orlando made the drive early on Saturday morning to deliver Makey – the 12 foot tall Maker Faire Robot! Once Makey was setup (and had his picture taken with David Sluder, the producer of Maker Faire Atlanta) they set out to see the over 200 Makers that are located just south of Decatur Square. The weather this weekend is perfect for an outdoor Maker Faire, and the Makers & crowd appreciate the relief from the summer heat.

Maker Faire Atlanta is FREE thanks to sponsors such as Intel, Make Magazine, Google, MailChimp, and Creative Loafing, and the hard work of the many Maker Faire Atlanta volunteers.

If you are in the Atlanta area, we hope you made it to the Faire – and if not, check out a some of the day 1 photos in the slideshow below!
